Follow the easy steps below to hide message alerts from specific chats using iMessage:

1. Open the Messages app on your iPhone. 

2. Navigate to the specific conversation or message thread for which you want to customize the notification settings.

3. Tap on the profile icon to access more options related to the conversation.

4. Look for Hide Alerts and toggle it on.

5. Select Done to save your changes and return to the message thread.

You can also go to Messages, slide the message from left to right, and tap on the bell icon.

How to hide message notifications from unknown contacts

Here’s how you can hide message notifications from unknown contacts:

1. Launch the Contacts app on your device. 

2. Look for the search bar and tap on it. 

3. Now, type in the name of the contact you want to delete. Once you find the contact, tap on the contact card to open their details.

4. Choose Edit from the available options. Scroll down through the options and select Delete Contact.

5. Tap on Delete Contact again in the confirmation prompt to confirm and permanently remove the contact from your list.

6. Leave the Contacts app and head to the Settings app.

7. Head to Messages and tap Unknown & Spam.

8. Toggle on Filter Unknown Senders and choose SMS Filter.
